In Acts chapter 17, Luke reported that Paul and Silas continued their journey to Thessalonica preaching Christ in their synagogues, but some of the Jews opposed them and sorted to kill them. The believers sent them away that night without delay to Berea. The Jews in Berea had an attitude towards the Gospel that is worth emulating: they were more open-minded; they received the Apostles message with all eagerness, and they searched the scriptures daily to find out if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. Beloved, there is no better time to search the Scriptures ourselves than now.
